Information for Authors

    The papers and information submitted for publication should concern problems of the science of fibre-grade polymers, biopolymers, fibres, textiles, and fibrous products including paper-pulp and paper, problems associated with investigation into the production and application of the above-mentioned products, as well as with the economics of fibres & textiles, and the fibre & textile world market.

    Generally, all articles in the sections 'Research and Development' and 'General Problems' are independently reviewed by at least two reviewers, well-known scientists and experts in the area the article concerns. The editors reserve the right not to publish an article assessed by the reviewers as inappropriate regarding the subject matter or level.

    The submission of the above-mentioned papers is a statement that the manuscript has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Each author is obliged to sign a 'Contract for transferral of author's rights' (copyright), which also contains the information mentioned above. We  send the copyright after preliminary acceptance of the article for publication in our journal. In those cases where the paper has been presented at a conference, it can be published in Fibres & Textiles in Eastern Europe only if it has not been published in generally available conference materials; in the event of presentation it is necessary to give an appropriate statement note placed after the heading.

    Manuscripts should be submitted in English in double-spaced typing (two copies), on one side  of A-4 paper together with an electronic version of the paper on Word in a Windows format (on CD-ROM or by e-mail).

    The volume of papers submitted  should not exceed 16 standardised (1800 characters) typescript pages, including tables, figures and photographs. The editors reserve the right to shorten an article if necessary and to alter titles.

    The manuscript should be headed with a title of less than 120 characters, the authors' name and forename(s), the full names of their affiliation (university, institute, company), department, city and state as well as a complete mailing address with telephone number and e-mail.

    Authors are requested to give an abstract of the paper, no longer than 150 words, and a list of 4-6 key words.

    For papers which have been translated into English from Polish or Russian, the authors are requested to submit one Polish or Russian copy with a title, abstract and key words.

    SI units must be used, or at least  comprehensive explanations given, and abbreviations according to IUPAC and ISO standards. Footnotes should be avoided. When their use is absolutely necessary, they should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals and appended at the end of the paper.

    References cited should be listed at the end of the paper in the order of quotation, and referred to by number in square brackets in the text and contain the following information: for a paper in a periodical - the initials and surname of the author(s), title of the journal, volume, number, year of issue, and page numbers; for a book - the initials and surname of the author(s), full name of the book, publisher, place and year of publishing and the pages cited; for patents - the country, patent number and year; for papers published on conferences – the initials, surname of the author(s), conference’s title, town, year, title of paper in English; for Ph.D. thesis – the initials, surname of the author(s), title in English, university, town, year.

    All tables and figures should be numbered (with Arabic numerals) consecutively and separately throughout the paper, and referred to by number in the text. Photographs should be numbered as figures. Tables and figures with headings as well as all  lettering and labelling required should be submitted on separate sheets of paper.

    Line illustrations and photographs must be additionally submitted in electronic version (on CD-ROM or by e-mail) with  information regarding the respective software. Reproductions of line illustrations or photographs in colour are possible by special arrangement, with the total cost borne by the author.  Please do not send any illustrations with a resolution smaller than 300 pixels/cm.

    All manuscripts with the  material for publication prepared and all related correspondence should be submitted to:
