Abstract: Conditions were found for the manufacture of zinc alginate fibres with a tricalcium phosphate (TCP) nanoadditive. The effect of essential forming process parameters were determined, such as temperature, solidification and plasticisation bath concentration, as well as as-spun draw ratio values for a porous structure and strength properties of nanocomposite zinc alginate fibres. A comparative analysis of the fibre properties with and without the nanoadditive was conducted.
